The Lake Shore Compact recently held their SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Showcase event at Mentor Public Schools Paradigm Center. This is a local competition that provides the opportunity for students to qualify for the SkillsUSA Ohio State Championship in April.
SkillsUSA is a CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) that is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Their mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.
The Lake Shore Compact currently has over 370 active SkillsUSA student Members and has been recognized as a chapter of excellence.
Congratulations to all who participated and a huge thank you/congratulations to Melinda O'Connor and Commander Nicholas Selvaggio for creating, organizing, and running the event. Our community is lucky to have each of you working with our students and helping prepare Ohio's future workforce!
